Kappa Mu Epsilon Inducts 21 New Members
Kappa Mu Epsilon math honor society inducted 21 new members during an event Nov. 16.
To qualify for membership, students must be in the top 35% of their classes, have completed three math courses (excluding MATH 100) and have earned a B average in their math courses.

ϲʹ Students Recieve SWE Scholarships
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) announced the recipients of 330 scholarships Nov. 20. Among the recipients are the following ϲʹ students:
- Kimberly Betty ('24, ME): Woon Family Scholarship
- Mattie Reich ('24, CE): Women's Network Scholarship
- Alayna Wanless ('24, EE): Eaton STEM Scholar Scholarship
, which totaled more than $1.5 million, were awarded to freshman, sophomore, junior, senior and graduate students for the 2023-24 academic year.

Alpha Sigma Alpha Recognized as Attain Chapter
The Delta Nu-B chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha was recognized as an Attain Chapter for the 2022-23 academic year.
Alpha Sigma Alpha's national organization reviews chapters' end-of-the-year reports and gives this award to chapters that have vowed fully to uphold their role, responsibility and commitment to being an energizing influence in the future of Alpha Sigma Alpha.

Kettering Student Receives NSBE Scholarship
Kimberly Betty ('24, ME) was one of 10 students across the country selected to receive a 2023 NV5 National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) scholarship.
The scholarships were awarded to undergraduate and graduate students across the country studying a variety of disciplines, including civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, geomatics and computer science. NV5 Global Inc., a provider of technology, conformity assessment and consulting solutions, .
The winners were selected based on personal essays, educational accomplishments, positive contributions to the community and professional recommendations. They embody the NSBE mission "to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community."
